Aerospace Engineer

Hugo Peyrot

Hugo PEYROT is a young French engineer who has always been driven by a deep passion for aeronautics and new technologies. He earned his glider pilot licence at just 16, then continued his aviation journey by also training as a drone and ultralight pilot. A graduate of IPSA (Institut Polytechnique des Sciences Avancées), an engineering school in Paris specializing in aeronautics and space, he places innovation and the decarbonization of aviation at the heart of his commitment.

In 2023, he founded IPS’OLAIRE, an ambitious student project that culminated on June 14, 2026, in the first flight of an electric and solar-powered aircraft demonstrator designed by an all-student team, which he piloted himself on its maiden flight. He then launched REVOLT’AIR, with the aim of helping to decarbonize light aviation through the electric retrofitting of ultralight aircraft. He is also pursuing his entrepreneurial path by co-founding, alongside Jean-Baptiste Loiselet, a project to develop a new electric aircraft with industrial ambitions.

Convinced that the future of aviation lies in innovation and renewable energy, Hugo joined SolarStratos as an aeronautical engineer. There, he has found the opportunity to contribute to an extraordinary adventure: pushing the limits of electric and solar flight all the way to the stratosphere, and demonstrating that a different kind of aviation is possible.
